aguado’s estudio
For those wondering how my guitar playing is going after six months of lessons. Clearly there’s plenty of room for improvement. I’m still learning pieces in the key of C and (relative) a but getting much pleasure from it.

Frank, my man, that’s freaking good work!! Did you start with 0 experience on the guitar 6 months ago?! I’m impressed!

Thanks for the kind words y’all!
First, I’ve been a musician my whole life…I just never played this particular instrument, the guitar, before. But I’ve LISTENED to a hell of a lot of guitar!
Second, I started messing around with it over a year ago. I only decided to get serious and take lessons when S offered to pay for my first lesson as a birthday present last June.
Third, I studied theory and composition in college because I was making up tunes and wanted to learn how to write them down. So I started guitar lessons with a working knowledge of music theory.
Finally, I’ve always loved music, it’s one of the most rewarding things in my life. So practicing is actually fun.
