The Birthday Song

Frank and Suzan wrote the song below to replace the old traditional birthday song. It's sung to the tune of "St. Thomas" by Sonny Rollins. Written for the birthdays of Suzan, Dianne and Nancy of the Women's Circus. Best when sung while dancing in a circle in the street at night.
The fact of the matter is we wish you good cheer
That's why we are asking you to stand up right here

Scream and shout!
Blast it out!
Happy Birthday - birthdays are near

Let's all raise our voices as we stand on the tar
Just jumpin' and jivin' with our friends near and far

(repeat chorus)

So join in the circle underneath the night's sky
Stay open to adventure - don't ever be shy!

(repeat chorus)
